Global Green Growth Institute

For many years, DTU has been one of the world’s leading research universities within sustainable technologies and development – a position now further strengthened by an agreement with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), which will establish its first regional office outside the Republic of Korea at Risø DTU.

The new regional office will be officially opened in connection with the President of the Republic of Korea, Lee Myung-bak’s official visit to Denmark. Together with HRH Crown Prince Frederik, the President and a host of Korean and Danish ministers will inaugurate the regional office at Risø DTU on May 11, 2011.

Based in Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea, GGGI is global non-profit institute dedicated to the promotion of green growth. GGGI is founded on the belief that economic growth and environmental sustainability are not mutually exclusive, but rather interdependent.
