Description
The Medicine and Technology programme (Biomedical Engineering) focuses on the design of future diagnostic and treatment methods at hospitals and in the field. The interaction between the human organism, technical equipment, and methods is essential to medicine and technology. We are becoming increasingly dependent on advanced equipment for patient diagnosis and treatment—e.g. large CT scanners, PET scanners for studying molecular processes in cancer, as well as pacemakers and DNA chips for studying the genome.
Medicine and Technology is an interdisciplinary programme offered by DTU in collaboration with the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen.
