The Master of Science Programme in Environmental Management and Sustainability Science at Aalborg University is directed at science and engineering students who are interested in topics related to sustainability and environmental management. The programme is designed to meet these new challenges, by integrating inputs from the social and human sciences into the study of planning and engineeringThe Master of Science Programme in Environmental Management & Sustainability Science combines a theoretical orientation with practical project work. This means that you achieve hands-on experience with a range of practical techniques in areas like:
- Environmental planning
- Environmental policy
- Environmental management systems (EMS)
- Corporate social responsibility
- Life cycle assessment (LCA)
- Energy analysis and planning.

About the Degree
You can study the programme both as a guest student at the first and/or second semester or as a Master student following the entire two-year degree programme.Admission
To enter this master programme - either as a guest or full-degree student - you must have a relevant bachelor degree.The Bachelor´s degree in Urban, Energy and Environmental Planning at Aalborg University gives you direct access to the programme. Other relevant bachelor degrees could be within engineering or natural sciences.
However all applications for the Master programme are evaluated individually and the relevancy of the Bachelor´s degree is evaluated through this process.
In addition, documentation will be required to verify that your proficiency in English is at an acceptable level.
