The focus of the 3½-year programme is jewellery, technology and business and you will obtain a cross-disciplinary understanding of how to create jewellery using modern technology. We generally focus on how jewellery is conceptualised, produced, marketed and sold nationally and internationally.

The programme puts particular emphasis on preparing you to start your own company within the jewellery industry – also in an international perspective.

You will be working with jewellery design, product development, business, aesthetics, materials, concepts, trends, cultural understanding, innovation, marketing, and value and supply chains. In short, you will gain knowledge about the entire process from idea to sold jewellery product.

Starting from the value and supply chain, you will learn how to analyse the financial market sustainability of the jewellery concepts and to optimise production and logistics processes. You will learn to plan, manage and carry out complex processes resulting in innovative and creative possible solutions to challenges within jewellery production. We pay particular attention to functionality, Emotional Design, sustainability and choice of material in relation to the form and aesthetics of jewellery.

On the programme, we also focus strongly on Wearable Technology, makers Movement and The Quantified Self in relation to the technological jewellery industry of the future.
