The purpose of the programme is to provide you with a strong understanding of the nature and extent of environmental problems. The programme produces interdisciplinary graduates who can apply their knowledge and skills to analysis, understanding and treatment of current and future environmental problems on a national, regional and global scale.The core of the programme is based on natural science, but it also contains significant social science elements.As a student you learn to design and conduct relevant experiments and analyses, and to gather, understand, and operationalise environment-related knowledge in solving socially critical challenges.Graduates of Environmental Science can find employment with public environmental authorities at local, regional, national and international levels. You will also be attractive to private companies offering advisory, analysis and consulting services in the environmental field, as well as to industries dealing with the use of natural resources.
