Design and Business, Fashion Design About the programme:
Fashion Design is an area of specialisation within the Bachelor (BA) top-up programme in Design & Business and is located in Herning.

During your studies, you will work on developing your personal image and mode of expression. The programme’s main focus is on idea generation and designing. You will get a profound knowledge of trends, idea generation, sociology and science, so you can take on the design process in an experimental and creative manner.

The programme will equip you to develop and present your own unique brand or mode of expression.  An important part of the programme is understanding the design process from the first sketch all the way through to production, and being able to collaborate with other professions to produce a successful collection.  To enhance your collaboration skills, the programme includes common projects that will include interdisciplinary collaborations, and the compulsory placement period provides you with the chance to expand your network and CV.

Description

The Psychomotor therapy exchange programme focuses on your own reflections and personal development. Starting from awareness of your own body, we proceed to reflect upon the role of a professional therapist and develop methods of being one in harmony with the person you are.
In Denmark, manual treatment is a fundamental part of the studies. Physical contact, with touch or massage of a patient wearing clothes, enables us to relate muscular tensions and dynamics of the body to psychological aspects.

Apart from manual treatment the distinctive subjects are:
  • Free movement and training of body consciousness
  • Rehabilitation and preventive psychomotor therapy
  • Psychomotor therapy directed towards certain segments e. g. children, elderly, disabled or people with mental illnesses
An Erasmus exchange programme has a minimum duration of three months, but at VIA, most students are on exchange for a full semester. We also invite you for shorter stays as the programme is planned individually for each student.

Admission

We only accept exchange students who are already studying psychomotor therapy, and you need to have completed the first year of study at your home university.
