Description

In the Master's programme, you can choose from among special, modularly-structured subjects such as musical theory, electro-acoustics, instrumentation, music production, etc. The purpose of tuition in these subjects is to allow you to specialise as a composer in the area of your choice, and at the same time to improve your professional skills.

Career Opportunities

The Composition programme includes weekly seminars with the possibility of networking with RDAM's composition faculty and international guest teachers. Activities such as PULSAR, the annual festival for new contemporary music, and workshops with Danish and international ensembles help to extend the professional network of the students.   

About the Degree

The Academy has specialised teachers and good facilities which will give you the opportunity to work partially or wholly within the area of electro-acoustics in connection with your principal study.

Admission  

EU/EEA applicants must apply online and attend to a live entrance examination when applying for Bachelor's level. Non-EU/EEA applicants must submit an online application and   
composed pieces.

Study programmes within music and music pedagogy at the highest level

Description

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) offers study programmes in music performance, Instrument and Voice, as well as in Composition, Conducting and Sound Engineering, and electives in subjects such as Pedagogy and Church Music. The Faculty aims to foster and develop student’s individual artistic profile and technical skills drawing on a solid pedagogical foundation and years of artistic professional experience. All Programmes are taught in English, which is also spoken by both Faculty and students. RDAM has an extensive international network and cooperates with some of the world’s leading music academies. Students are ach year offered masterclasses with internationally renowned artists and educators both in person and through Advanced Audio Network Technology that connects RDAM to music academies across the globe. With more than 50% international students and a nationally diverse Faculty, RDAM is a great starting point for students embarking on an international career.
