The purpose of the programme in Computer Science is to produce graduates who can contribute to the development of complex IT systems that are reliable, user-friendly and long-lasting.As a graduate you will acquire skills in the use of software architecture and design principles for the development of complex IT systems, as well as in documenting solutions and critically reflecting on both the system structure and the context in which the solutions must operate.Computer Science qualifies you for work throughout the IT sector, both public and private, such as in consulting firms, large organisations requiring internal development, R&D departments and development and research departments at large IT companies. The purpose of the programme is to provide you with a strong understanding of the nature and extent of environmental problems. The programme produces interdisciplinary graduates who can apply their knowledge and skills to analysis, understanding and treatment of current and future environmental problems on a national, regional and global scale.The core of the programme is based on natural science, but it also contains significant social science elements.As a student you learn to design and conduct relevant experiments and analyses, and to gather, understand, and operationalise environment-related knowledge in solving socially critical challenges.Graduates of Environmental Science can find employment with public environmental authorities at local, regional, national and international levels. The master's programme Global and Development Studies is a pluralistic, social science programme with elements from e.g. economics, political science, sociology, anthropology and law.Among other things, the programme deals with the fact that global society is increasingly interconnected economically, politically, culturally, environmentally, etc., and that the North-South concept of development today is insufficient to understand observed changes in the global and social order.As a graduate you have the tools to investigate and report to relevant actors on how international and global phenomena affect a given issue, such as international security, rights, climate change, social sustainability or green transition.Graduates typically work for regional, national and international authorities and organisations (including ministries and embassies), international development and aid organisations, civil society organisations and NGOs, private companies, think-tanks and consulting firms. International Politics and Governance explores how significant parts of today's politics influence are created and implemented through systems by public, private and non-state actors.
