Description

The MSc in Anthropology is a two-year degree programme taught at one of the largest anthropological research establishments in Europe, The Departement of Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen.

The aim of the programme is to provide theoretically based higher education with thematic and regional specialisation as well as experience in research methodology including data acquisition and cultural analysis. The Department of Anthropology offers two specialisation tracks for the Master´s Degree: Specialisation in Business and Organisational Anthropology and specialisation in Anthropology of Health. The specialisation tracks are an opportunity to have a more targeted profile for your degree program and your Master´s diploma.

As part of the programme you will be asked to plan, conduct and analyse a larger fieldwork, which will serve as the basis for your master’s thesis. The fieldwork can be conducted in either Denmark, in your home country or abroad, as your training will allow you to find new perspectives on the ordinary and give you the ability to find the familiar in the unknown.

City Campus

Description

Studying at City Campus means being downtown Copenhagen. Everything the city has to offer is right outside the door. Nevertheless, it is easy to escape city noise in order to study or relax in one of the many beautiful, surrounding parks. The campus area accommodates the Faculty of Social Sciences and a part of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences.

Centre for Health and Society is located between the city lakes and the transport hub Nørreport. This is a place brimming with history as the buildings are the former district general hospital with high ceilings and a stylish architectural look. Teaching facilities are modern, and in 2013, the University opened a new building with three auditoriums.
