Description
This MSc offers an exciting research area focusing on multidisciplinary studies of sound and vibration phenomena. The programme covers a wide range of topics within acoustics, including the fundamentals of sound propagation, advanced measurement techniques, and understanding and modelling of the normal and impaired human hearing system.The choice of courses ranges from human hearing and reaction to sound, acoustic measurement methods, electroacoustic systems, architectural acoustics, environmental acoustics, and noise and vibration control.
The students specialize in subjects chosen within:
- Physical Acoustics
- Architectural Acoustics
- Audiological Acoustics.

Graduates of the Engineering Acoustics programme are employed by companies, local or national authorities and research centres involved in:- Hearing aid systems, telephones and hearing protection
- Transducer manufacturing and audio system engineering
- Sound and vibration measurement equipment
