Description
The BA IM teaches you to understand information in a business context - and how to effectively organise and manage information so that it may be used effectively in the company’s knowledge creation and business communication. The BA in Information Management is about how people in an organisation manage information – how they find it, organise it, use it and how they can pass it on most efficiently. It is about how a large amount of information can be changed into relevant knowledge that can be used in a company or organisation for example to improve performance. Often, information processes in an organisation are not working efficiently, and people have difficulty in finding and accessing the information they need to make decisions or do their job efficiently. Therefore, information management is important in any organisation and can be used to create value. The BA in Information Management builds on a wide range of competencies within organisation theory, information science and communication studies, and prepares you for a career in a rapidly changing global business environment.
