Description
This programme focuses on the sustainable utilization of the aquatic environment and its resources, and the development of sustainable aquaculture production. It centres on fisheries, oceanography, and the management of aquatic resources—–and addresses the challenges associated with sustainable fisheries and aquaculture as well as the maintenance of healthy ecosystems under changing environments.Career Opportunities
As an MSc Eng in Aquatic Science and Technology, you will have cross-disciplinary qualifications for working with global issues within climate, environment and sustainability. Depending on your specialization you will be able to- Develop and implement innovative technology and systems for recirculating aquaculture.
- Develop effective and selective tools for sustainable fisheries management.
- Design economical and environmentally sustainable management and production systems.
- Give quantitative advice about the impacts of climate change on aquatic organisms and ecosystems.
