Content
During the course, we will disseminate international state-of-the-art projects, as well as focus on pre-fabrication in the construction process and how to work with CLT (cross-laminated timber). In addition, the participants will be taught specifically on the topic of sustainability within construction, as well as the value and advantage of working with multi-storey timber constructions. Statistics, knowledge of fire safety and circular design (design for separation) will be central subjects in the processing of the different projects.

The Summer School will be structured around cases featuring multi-storey timber construction design, which will be processed in teams. The course will finish with the presentation of a final project from each team.

In afternoon and evenings, VIA Summer School will arrange a variety of social and cultural events to expand your knowledge of Denmark and the other participants at the VIA Summer School courses. You can decide for yourself the extent to wish you want to participate in these activities.
