Description

As a mechanical engineer, you will help develop innovative, industrial products that can help ensure a sustainable future. You will learn, in creative and systematic ways, to design and control machines for, for example, robot-based production systems. In mechanical engineering, you will learn to plan and carry out projects, while at the same time gain an understanding of the design of industrial products.

About the Programme

The Bachelor of Engineering includes half a year’s internship in Denmark or abroad. The degree is vocationally oriented meaning that after 3½ years you will be ready to enter the job market. The degree will also qualify you to continue your studies and take a Master of Science in Engineering. The programme is taught in English. The study programme is based on themes providing coherence between your courses and your project.

Every semester is based on a main theme:
  • Discover the mechanical development process
  • Design and build mechanical products
  • Manufacture and Operate Mechanical Systems
  • Cooling-heating and Power Conversion Systems
  • Experts in Team innovation/Innovation/specialisation
  • The engineering internship
  • Final project

Career Opportunities

Looking for a job as project manager, development manager, production manager or even a job as responsible for purchase or sales of technical equipment? Then the BEng programme in mechanical engineering is a good choice!
You are qualified for employment as, for example:
  • Project manager in medium size or large companies that make industrial products or machines for manufacturing companies
  • Head of manufacturing department – e.g. responsible for procurement and implementation of new equipment
  • Manager of sales department – e.g. responsible for sales of technological products for public and private companies in Denmark and abroad
  • Responsible for written and graphic documentation and other sales material
  • Responsible for development, production, sales and procurement in smaller companies
  • Responsible for customer and supplier contact in smaller companies
  • Responsible for human resource and administration in smaller companies
  • Entrepreneur where you develop your own ideas and make business plans, prototypes, tests and documentation
  • Entrepreneur where you develop the ideas of others and make business plans, prototypes, tests and documentation
